Charles Smith, Letter Carver & Stone Carver

As a sculptor of letters, stone carver and designer, Charles Smith's commissioned work includes commemorative, architectural and civic pieces; for public / private buildings, cathedrals, churches, church yards, also private collections. He lists music, literature, poetry and various aspects of natural history as important factors in his work.

He is a member of the York Art Workers Association, Letter Exchange, The Art Workers Guild, Craft Council, Selected Index of Makers and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
